Peptic Ulcer Diet

At the beginning of the year I woke up with some of the worst heartburn I’ve ever experienced. I’ve had heartburn before but this was something completely different. The pain was so bad that I literally had tears rolling down my face all day.



I began taking antacids but nothing seemed to work. I don’t remember how many antacids I took that day. All I remember is I had this horrific pain in my throat and the only thing I was able to concentrate on was the pain.

I went to bed early that night and woke up with the same pain. I actually felt worn out and even felt hung over when I woke up in the morning. Even though I got a solid 8 hours of sleep, it felt as if I didn’t sleep at all.

I saw a specialist and he set up an appointment to get an endoscopy. They found the early signs of an ulcer in my esophagus and gave me a prescription to take daily. The prescription worked well for a couple months and suddenly stopped working.

I saw the doctor again and he suggested that I continue taking the medication even though it didn’t work for me anymore. I began taking a over the counter medication that worked really well for a couple months but then that quit working.

I was desperate and I found myself taking 8-10 pills a day with no relief. I talked to my friends that are into alternative medicine and they suggested for me to come over for dinner.
