Campgrounds for the Special Vacation

Chain campgrounds are very well manicured and have most facilities including restaurants at some. Their spaces are large and will accommodate most campers. They usually cost just a bit more than the privately owned places, but will provide a clean, safe environment. Some have security for your protection at nights.
State parks abound throughout the United States. Coast to coast and border to border there are spectacular parks that cater to the camper. The parks are usually very inexpensive and safe with closing hours at some. They give you an opportunity to explore the neighboring sites and enjoy the qualities of the area you are in. Park rangers are there to assist and will do so willingly. Bathrooms and showers are usually available and well maintained.
A lot of campgrounds cater to people with special interests. If you have special interests such as hiking, fishing or hunting, check with the people at the parks or campground to see if they are catered to. Some do not have lakes and hunting on certain properties is prohibited. You can however, often find a site that is close to where you wish to hunt and just come back to your camper and eat your catch be it fish or game. It is also important to see if campfires are allowed. Although it may be a tradition, there are places that do not allow them due to trees and brush or dry conditions.
Backpackers are pretty self-contained and would not be looking for a campground or the amenities associated with them. Tent camping, travel trailers and RV's are in need of a campground for their comfort. Although some trailers and RV's are self contained they have their time limitations before a campground is a necessity.
Tent camping is pretty rustic. What you have room to pack is what you have to use. Campgrounds fill in the blanks. Some have stores to fill out the necessity list and hygiene and sanitation facilities that tents don't usually have.
Travel trailers can be dependent on utilities such as water and electricity to make the stay comfortable. Food, utensils, bathroom and kitchen are within the campers and some are self contained to a degree. Eventually water and waste must be dumped and campgrounds have those facilities.
RV's are usually self-contained. Some are no bigger than your garage and others the size of a luxury bus with price tags up into the millions. Your lifestyle will determine your needs. In recent years retirees have taken to the roads and families are enjoying less expensive vacations. Visit http://www.allcampgrounds.com
